Bomber Eyewear isn't like other sunglasses companies. We take style, comfort, AND safety into consideration when we design our frames, and commit to the best of the best when it comes to materials for lenses and safe construction. 

But that's not the only thing that sets us apart from the competition -- we have a little something up our sleeve we like to call "The Bomber Difference."

What is "The Bomber Difference"?

The Bomber Difference boils down to four main factors:

Our ingenuity comes from the story behind the shades: a story about our founder, Tommy "the Bomber" Bonacci. 

Tommy is a World Champion jet ski racer, with titles under his belt from 1989, 1990, 1995, and back to back wins in 2014, 2015, and 2016. As a champion racer, Tommy has decades of experience in and out of the water. He's tried out every sport that catches his interest, from the jet skis he's known for to surfing, motocross, and winter sports. 

And in his years as a professional athlete, Tommy came up against one recurring problem: he wasn't happy with his sunglasses. Expensive protective eyewear slipped off in the middle of races, bounced around when he hit rough chop, and disappeared into the ocean at the worst possible times. 

The solution? Bomber Eyewear. Tommy developed and patented an eyewear line made with foam lining: ultra-comfortable, top-quality gear that floats in the water. 

Like creativity, sportsmanship runs in our company's blood.

We offer a range of unique designer sunglasses for any sport, any head shape, and anyone. Our designs are drawn off the sports we love, like jet skiing, fishing, paddle boarding, surfing, and skateboarding.

More importantly, we uphold our commitment to sportsmanship in our business practices. We're committed to fair pricing, top-quality craftsmanship, and community-driven advertising. We're not here to replace the designer sunnies that were last year's favorite Christmas gift. Instead, we act as insurance against both eye injury and breaking or losing your favorite pair of sunglasses in the water. 

We're also committed to safety: drawing on experience from the industry, we know what you need and what actually works. 

When he wasn't racing jet skis in the '90s, Tommy worked in construction and fabrication. In fact, some of the first pairs of pre-Bomber eyewear Tommy made were DIY safety shades. Unhappy with the way his safety glasses that were uncomfy and constantly fogged up, making it tough to get his work done, Tommy created his own comfortable, custom shades with the earliest version of our patented foam lining made from torn off pieces of jetski padding.

Today, our safety lenses are inspired by that first pair of glasses. His experience in the construction and fabrication world informs and inspires our current safety lines. It's tough to find a pair of safety shades that is as durable as it is comfortable--so we did it for you! And unlike that first pair of glasses, all of our modern designs meet ANSI Z87+ certification. 

Our customer service is second to none, and that's where our commitment to community comes in.

We're constantly listening to our fans on social media, to reports from our customer service department, and to requests we receive online and at events.
