Bomber Eyewear Sharing the Stoke with Access Surf Hawaii
The best thing about Bomber Eyewear is their broad ability. More than just another pair of sunglasses, they are all day comfort and eye protection. They are stylish, affordable and versatile. In an essence, they are the perfect pair. And much like Bomber Eyewear’s capacity to fill some void in every sunglass wearer’s life, Access Surf is an organization that has a place for every one. Whether you are a participant or a volunteer, your life will be forever changed. It’s the shared smiles and spirit of aloha that keeps everyone excited to dedicate their free time to the organization.
Access Surf is a non-profit organization in Hawai’i that provides ocean access and experiences for any person with a cognitive or physical disability. Unlike many other groups that focus on specific illness’ within participants, Access Surf doesn’t discriminate in any way and welcomes all to join.
They provide two free monthly services staffed by trained volunteers that introduce adaptive aquatic recreation using specialized surfboards, wave skis, and floatation devices for anyone with a physical or cognitive disability.
Their Day at the Beach program is available to people of all ages and abilities and even welcomes participants' family and friends to engage in outdoor recreation together as an ‘ohana (family). The Wounded Warrior program, which is very similar to Day at the Beach, provides small group instruction to empower military personal and help them achieve their highest level of independence in the ocean.
With all their events held in the peak hours of the day, polarized and comfortable protection is a must! We are proud to help Access Surf fulfill its mission of helping children, adults and wounded veterans discover and develop their abilities in the oceans healing waters.
