When the sunlight changes, the tint changes. The transition lenses on these safety glasses have a variable tint with particles that interact with the light as it hits the lens. The brighter the sun, the darker the tint. As the light dims, the tint fades, providing a clear view.

They also block dangerous UV rays and filter Harmful Blue Light, which can be found outdoors and from digital devices. "Boogie Photocromatic- These are great. Lasted 3 yrs before the arm got cracked and it’s hanging on by the gray foam. Ordered a pair rush delivery of the Tigers frame style this time to test frame comfort. Will post new review. Word of advice do not set glasses on dash or middle console over the weekend- the photocromatic seems to disappear for a bit, but did come back."

Do these come with bifocals?
Hi Scott, the Boogie Safety – Photochromic (SKU: BG201) does not come with bifocal lenses. All of our photochromic safety glasses are single-vision, non-prescription lenses that adjust to lighting conditions. If you’re looking for bifocal safety eyewear, we recommend checking out our Bomber bifocal safety styles, which are designed specifically for that need.
Do theyget dark through windows I am machine operator?
Hi Mark, Thanks for reaching out! The photochromic lenses in the BOOGIE Safety glasses will darken when exposed to direct UV light. However, most indoor lighting and many machine or vehicle windows block UV rays, so the lenses may not darken as much — or at all — in those conditions. Can I get these custom with my prescription? Getting older and need glasses at night when riding/driving.
Hi There, We have had many of our customers take our frames to their own optometrists and had them fitted with their prescription. But depending on your prescription and the frame you choose, they may no longer pass safety standards (if you are going for one of our safety models).
