The Float Test

Drop your sunglasses on concrete and you can pick them up.

Drop them off a boat and you've got a different problem.

Regular sunglasses aren't built with buoyancy in mind.

Frames, lenses, hinges, and hardware all add weight. If the finished pair is heavier than the water it displaces, down it goes.
