Frequently Asked Questions

Ordering & Satisfaction

It's hard to buy glasses online. Do you make it easier?
You bet. Check out our Worry-Free Guarantee.

What about privacy of my information? Is it safe to give you my card info?
Your security is our highest priority. See our Privacy and Security policies.

I've seen other glasses that look like yours, but they don't say "Bomber" on them.
We license our technology to other national retailers such as Bass Pro Shops and Wal-Mart. In some cases, our glasses have been re-branded (eg. Wal-Mart sells them under the "iFloat" brand). Same great glasses, but at a store near you.

Monthly Emails and Promo Codes

I didn't get my monthly promo code? Will you resend it to me?
The promo code is sent in the monthly email, usually on the first or second Tuesday of the month. If you've signed up, please add the address live-better@bombereyewear.com to your safe list or list of contacts; otherwise it may have gone into your spam folder. We don't typically re-send these, but if you still aren't receiving them, please let us know.

May I share this promo code with friends?
Yes. Feel free to pass it along to friends, neighbors, workmates, strangers and your Uncle Ted.

Can I use the promo code more than once? What's discounted?
Promo codes may be used as many times as you like within the eligibility period (clearly marked on the email message). Promo codes cover ALL products within your purchase, but not tax or shipping.

What are the benefits of signing up for emails?
Bomber's monthly email informs subscribers about new products, contests and local events, plus the emails always include a Promo Code for at least 15% orders for that month. In addition, you get a Free Gift for signing up.

Will I get spammed? Do you share my email?
Safeguarding your privacy is extremely important to us. We will never share/sell/disclose your information, and it will remain completely confidential. Our marketing emails are sent only once each month. You may unsubscribe at any time by following the link at the bottom of the email.

Properties of Bomber Eyewear

How do Bomber glasses float?
Bomber uses EVA foam to offer floatation superior to any other floating eyewear. EVA stands for Ethylene Vinyl Acetate and is one of the materials popularly known as 'foam rubber'. During our patented process we permanently adhere the foam to the insides of the ear stems and near the hinges of the eyepiece.

Is the foam bulky? Does it take up much space?
Not at all. In fact, the thin foam that lines the stem pieces are inset, meaning that overall width is virtually unchanged. The corner foam is also very low profile, never touching the face or blocking vision.

Do other makers use EVA? How do other sunglasses float?
Only Bomber glasses can use this foam to offer floatation. When we patented our process in 1998, we became the first manufacturer to provide floating sunglasses. Since then, several manufacturers have introduced a variety of methods to make glasses float, including making their frames hollow and using suspiciously thin or brittle materials.

Simply put, no other floating eyewear can match the superior performance of Bomber.

How does the foam feel? Is it like my kitchen sponge?
EVA foam is smooth, light and dense. It is used as padding in a variety of sporting equipment such as handle grips, ski boots (snow, waterski, etc.), hockey gear, boxing and mixed martial arts equipment. EVA is also typically used as a shock absorber in sports shoes.

I'd like to know more about EVA foam.
Visit our Ethylene Vinyl Acetate page for more information on EVA and the benefits it provides. Also check out the other benefits of our technology.
